By law, all state (not private) schools must have a behaviour policy in place that includes measures to prevent all forms of bullying among pupils.
This policy must include bullying and should include disability, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
-
The behaviour policy is decided by the school.
-
All teachers, pupils and parents must be told what it is.
-
There should be clear guidance of how to report bullying and how it will be investigated.
